As a part of Helsinki European City Of Culture 2000 -project and 'Environmental technology in construction' -programme coordinated by TEKES, The National Technology Agency, an experimental house is being built in Tuusula housing fairs area, approx. 30 kms north from Helsinki. Trends of the house are durability, energy savings, and experiments on new technology. Linet network has been selected to the project to operate as a sophisticated lighting control system.

The house should be finished in June, 2000, to be displayed on the Tuusula housing fairs, which will be open to public from 14th July to 13th August 2000. Villa 2000 has it's Internet homepage at www.asuntomessut.fi/villa2000/index.html (in Finnish).
